As I speculated would happen last month, today I was asked to a team meeting where it was announced that a division-wide restructuring is slated to occur on May 1.
As for whether mine will be among the jobs lost that day, I still feel my head will not be on the block. But then again, there’s no way to know for certain. The powers-that-be still have to crunch their numbers, and decide who they can afford to lose regarding talent and/or salary.
Either way, I’ll be updating my resume this weekend as a precaution.
