At a doctor’s visit yesterday, after discussing chronic tinnitus (ringing) in my right ear which suddenly developed this week, I was told that I had mild hearing loss.
Why, I have no idea? I avoid both loud noises and slamming Oxycontin a la Rush Limbaugh, so that wouldn’t prompt any hearing issues.
Maybe it’s all just a part of aging, as old injuries I’ve collected over the years (bad knee, bruised hip) keep resurfacing – although oddly, a shoulder I broke at age 19 in a bad fall which required four days of hospitalization feels okay.
Go figure.
