Here’s a video interview I found of my friend Sam Armstrong—a retired 3-star USAF general and former F-105 pilot who flew 100 missions over North Vietnam—sharing his wartime experiences of life under fire.
The story of how I met Sam is a long one, but the reason for this post is that after we first met in-person in Washington DC in 2005 (after 13 years of only emails and letters) Sam gave me his command air wings – a gift I considered a huge honor (and still do), and am having framed this week for display in my home office.
Anyhow, share the supersonic love. Sam rocks.
