It’s finally come to this: the Republican Party is officially eating itself alive – this, in a bid to drive out any tenor of moderation from a hard-right stance and resurrect the ghost of Ronald Reagan, which is what GOP populist-zealots like Rush Limbaugh feel must happen for the party to renew itself (despite Limbaugh's puffy claims to the contrary today).

But even Jeb Bush (rightfully) sees this approach as backward-looking and self-destructive, not to mention responsible for the GOP’s current plight.

I, for one, expect very few on the right to listen to him.
