Apocalypse

My God, is the sky falling? Rush Limbaugh actually told the truth about something, as indicated in his interview with NBC here and excerpted below:

Limbaugh makes no bones about doing his radio show for the love of money, not necessarily for the love of politics or the spirit of debate.

”My audience, my ratings,” Limbaugh replied when asked….who he does his show for. “For ratings, I will admit it.”

“Let me shock the world right here on NBC. I am doing my show for ratings. I want the largest audience I can get because that’s how I can charge the highest advertising rates. Which means what else do I want? Money.”

Thanks for confirming what many of us—meaning everyone but your dope of an audience—knew for ages, Rush. But I imagine they will continue to buy your recommended daily allowance of horseshit anyhow.

Oh, one more thing...all that money? After you die alone of a grabber one day, you can't take it with you.

Cthulhu Skin

Click here for some remarkable H.P. Lovecraft-themed tattoo art I found while looking about for design ideas.

The images seen in the linked blog are way too large for my taste, but the artistry of some are very impressive.

Service with a Smile

As much as I dislike Brett Favre, his performance during last night’s Vikings-Packers game was very solid – helped in no small part by Minnesota’s offensive line giving him all day to throw, and the Viking defense having a great game.

Still, as expected, I’m surprised that ESPN’s commentators for the game (especially Jon Gruden) could pronounce a single word on air as Favre’s balls were stuffed so deeply in their mouths. Ten bucks says that even the best-rated hookers in Minneapolis don’t give oral service that complete over the span of 180 minutes.

But then again, this is the Booyah Network we’re talking about.

Dear Mr. Limbaugh

Tell me, sir…why do you hate America so?

I mean, to celebrate Chicago (which last time I checked, is within the United States) not receiving a surge in new jobs from a successful 2016 Olympic bid seems extremely small-minded and petty – even for your drug-addled self.

So to openly relish such a moment with your audience seems pretty solid evidence that your disdain for anything which Barack Obama openly supports (while forgetting that George W. Bush expressed his support for Chicago 2016 as well) overrides your support for American interests as a whole.

As such, El Rushbo - I guess you’ll be moving to France soon?

Congrats to Rio

Well, it’s disappointing that Chicago did not get the 2016 Olympics today, but not entirely shocking either.

Yet what’s especially pathetic are Obama’s loudest critics who are cheering Chicago’s loss despite the fact that a successful Olympic bid would have meant an immediate surge in job creation for a major US city that needs it.

Nice to see these petty dickheads have their priorities in the right place; they’d rather see the midwestern economy continue to languish than for Chicago get the games solely because the current POTUS is from the city.

But anyhow, congrats to Rio – I’m sure they’ll put on a fun Olympiad, hopefully with lots of hot nude chicks.
